AOC CORBIERES – Montagne d’Alaric
SOIL: Clay-limestone with alluvial gravels from the Quartenary era.
GRAPE VARIETIES: Syrah, Grenache, Carignan
VINIFICATION: Entirely destemmed grapes are subjected to a long temperature controlled fermentation. Each grape variety is vinified separately in stainless steel tanks.
AGEING: 11 months in tanks.
YIELD: 32 hl/ha
A classic Corbières blend with a majority of Grenache and Carignan, with the addition of a little Syrah. A well-balanced wine with notes of fruit and spices, proving that oaking isn’t a prerequisite of a good wine. Decant before drinking with rich stews and other red-meat dishes
STORAGE POTENTIAL: 8 years.
