VINS de PAYS des COTEAUX de MIRAMONT
SOIL: Clay-limestone with alluvial gravels from the Quartenary era.
GRAPE VARIETIES: Merlot, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Carignan
VINIFICATION: Entirely destemmed grapes are gently pressed before temperature controlled fermentation for 18 days. No pumping-over but total immersion of the cap.
AGEING: 8 months in three-wine barrels for the Cabernet.
YIELD: 41 hl/ha
An easy-drinking, fruity wine with great versatility, this is for drinking with friends and accompanies pretty well any meal. Served cool (14º) it goes well with fish. Mostly Merlot, a small amount of Carignan gives it freshness. Ready for drinking now, particularly if decanted 2 hours in advance.
STORAGE POTENTIAL: 5 years.
